Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

There are always outliers in any data set but ten years of data collected by Tesla shows about 12% loss of battery capacity in 200,000 miles of driving.
I'd wager that most ICE vehicles will lose more than 12% of their original HP after 200,000 miles of driving.
In the real world, where most buy a vehicle to use, it is an expense and not an investment. If you use it you should figure on it losing a percentage of value. Car salesmen and Ming Molls will try to convince you that your shiny new purchase is an investment but it isn't IMHO.
Tesla resale is kinda tricky this year. All the models have had significant price cuts since the first of this year. Folks like me, that bought before the cuts are way behind on resale value. Folks that bought since the cuts are doing pretty well with resale values. A couple more years will show a better picture. As a percentage of current price compared to current used prices, the cars seem to be holding value better than some of the other luxury brands.
