South Central MN | According to the drought website we are out of a drought here, was at D1 in September. Had about 8" or so in two rain events in October, the first one was a multi day soaker and it all went in, second one came down harder but didn't have too much run. The most that came out of one tile was a trickle like the kitchen faucet was turned on.
Next year as long as we get the crop in and it gets roots down it should be able to hang on for the most part, worst would be a wet May followed by a very dry June since the planting sins show up then. (Mudded through that wet spot? No worries your corn will just get hatchet roots and look like pineapple plants later.) | |
