What the hell kind of demo is this? Did the dealer just drop it off slap you on the back and tell you good luck? How's the dealer not with you for most of the first day riding with each person who will be driving the tractor to make sure they can do basic functions like this and then sticking around while people drive it by themselves?

If this is the kind of support you get during a demo when they're trying to sell to you where are they going to be after they've already got your money? Tell them to get their act together and do a proper demo

Considering we haven't heard from him, I imagine he may have gotten some help...Also, as a dealer, I get frustrated by demo's when we do them about 90% of the time. I can ride with them for an hour, or all day, but if no questions are asked, I can only show you so much. Then, all phone numbers are left, and we RARELY get a phone call, but when we talk later about any issues we get a list of things they couldn't figure out. I can't help if I don't know, unfortunately, we do not read minds.

We once demoed a combine to a local BTO (all Deere customer), left our numbers to them, got them going on a Friday before a long July 4th weekend, and after riding and being there half a day to make sure they were good, left them for the whole weekend to run it. Saturday night they broke a belt, and never called...called the local Deere dealer to try an match one up. I left my Cell number, my Dad, My brother, our Service tech, the local shadetree mechanic that setup the demo had our numbers (and has for 30 years), and one of their employees is a lifelong friend who handed them a phone calling me, and they refused to "bother us" on Saturday night. So, long story short, some people are just like that, and refuse to make life simple.

I'm not saying the OP is, he said he called the dealer and no one got back with him...though we don't know if that was 10 minutes or 10 hours...
I'm also not trying to defend the dealer, or vilify the customer, it just sounds like a screwy deal, and possibly a missed opportunity....but not all people want, need, or expect the same types of things on a demo, and it takes time to learn what each customer expects of you, and what each dealership "expects" from a customer.
