I run primarily black dirt over clay base. We need some moisture over winter to replenish the subsoil or 24 could be bad ju-ju.
Not sure how NE Iowa pushed some of the yields it did, but thankful for what we received.

Rented ground, remove cornstalks, looks like a disk chisel. Big hills no buffer strips. One good rain I will need to get the cat back to repair waterway. Bad news is that his ground is so steep, the soil isn’t going to slow down on mine.
