We still have some that were used in the late 40,s and early 50,s. I've used them to carry water for new planted trees. They are so heavy. I can't imagine how tough those milk hauler guys are. I've heard stories of those can haulers slinging 10-gallon cans onto the second tier of the truck, while standing on the ground. That's placing 100-pound cans on a platform higher than the guy's head! |
