We had a Stormor bin put up in the early 1980s, the crew did the same thing. I caught it when they started the second row, I said use rope caulking on the horizontal seems the same as the verticals. The crew boss thought I was being difficult, I said do it,we are paying for the bin. We had just put up a couple of Brock bins a year before and did a lot of the work ourselves, so I knew how it should be done. Make them fix it.
