The artic telehandler have a wider cab and you can sort of side shift bales/pallets or whatever into and out of position and you have better visibilty to the sides, but are sat behind the boom. The do rock around at full steering lock . A standard 4 wheel steer telehandler is easier to jump on and off, which is more likely with this type of machine, you get much more lift and reach for a given wheel base. you can see the head tstock better, they tend not to rock around so much. Don't be tempted with a construction spec machine. For the record, I've been using them since the late 1980's, JCB', Manitou's, Merlo's, Matbro's, a Teleshift off the top of my head.
