What would it take to put a kta out of a genset into a truck with a big cam? This is an older autocar truck. Are the bell housings the same? Motor mounts probably different? The truck is a 1979. I have not seen the genset yet, but it’s pretty old.
Since you are in PA, Mumau Diesel is in Shelocta up east of Pittsburgh. Jeff is a good friend of mine and has been a Cummins dealer for about 40 years I think. I've taken a couple truck up to him for some love, and I would tell you to call him and ask. If they haven't tried it, I bet they know someone who has...and I also bet he has some 855's running around there if you need a better one than what you have.
