Nunn CO | We are lightly considering moving our farmyard out of town and into the middle of our main farm ground a few miles away. (Town is growing and its a pain). One of my largest hesitation is moving 15 or so grain bins, I really don't want to disassemble/ split them especially considering their age. However, I'm not dying to go out and buy 15 new bins either since they work just fine. So, knowing that I am land locked by power lines I'm trying to think on how to move these. They are around 6,000 bu each. Do you think a crane company would pic them up if I staged them on one side (our property) and lift them over the lines and set them on a truck waiting on the road or is there just to much liability there?
As soon as I'm over the lines its one mile on roads or through a neighbors field then all connecting blocks of ours till the proposed new site. Thoughts?
Two pics attached. Our current yard in blue and the lines in red. Second photos is the lines from street view. I can roughly get a implement folded up at 15' under these lines. Barely.
