sc ks | It is seen as a stable, inflation hedged diversification piece to a portfolio. Similar to gold but with a yearly dividend. After watching the money supply manipulation of the last 3 years I can't say I disagree with a land preference over treasuries. I just sold a bunch of 5% treasuries to pay for land myself. People are waking up to the fiat scam of governments inflating their debt away.
Edit to say those holding 10yr Treasuries purchased before 2023 have lost much of their investment in nominal terms (just ask the banks utililizing the BTFP) and way more in real terms. Land buyers are are looking much smarter so far.
Put a piece of paper in a pile of dirt and come back 10yrs later and tell me which one is left!
