I think most people buy a house that is going to be as much as they can afford for payments today. I think the Midwest and farming communities are better long term managers than the big cities where they spend every dollar they make.
oh come on, there are people retiring at 55, If you lived in the city would you spend every dollar you made?
how do you get a farmer to spend a $100? give him 50. judging from yearend tax threads on here, there is some truth, at least at some level to that joke.
