South Central MN | It's not virtue signaling, it's accepting the reality that electric could be the future. A diesel-electric hybrid for a combine could make a lot of sense. As for cost, they might be able to eliminate a lot of gearboxes, linkages, and pulleys in favor of electric drives, so the overall cost might not be that much different. I'm not interested in hybrid tractors because I believe they'll save the environment. I'm interested in them because I think electrification will bring new innovation to the industry. | |
