Subject: RE: John Deere 6145R good and bad

coast of Maine
Its my main ride for 1/2 the year.I do no heavy pulling work with it but run 10 ft tiller and a large 3pt airblast and sometimes a specialized veg planter.I had tall rubber put on when I bought it and added fender flares and front fenders. The one complaint is zero access to outside air unless you use the blower,,I know this is common now as glass is cheapest for builders of equip and allows more parts sales as well.I think the sensor thats just below the top link is dumb as dumb gets.Drop the link and smash the sensor dead. The control center is good but the screen cant be read when moving as it has too small of a font(dumb). It would be zero cost to have screen font larger.Road speed is good.I think its a bit lighter than the 7430 it replaced.Ride is a little more choppy with a heavy 3 pt load even though I have it weighted up.I think one minor tech issue ,,maybe was a lighting issue.Freaks me a bit to lift the hood and look at all the tech that I will some day have issues with.Very sharp response on throttle and steering.I would say a 8/9 out of 10 ..I think next time I willtrade up a tad on frame versus a tad down.
