Ontario Canada | Why shouldn’t we use the cylinder stop to adjust the tilt ?
We’ve ran one for the last 3 years. 21 ft and pull it with 8R 340. It has enough power until you set too deep. We’ve had issues with plugging in corn stalks in the fall if there’s any moisture. We think the design flaw is the heavy shanks are built to bulky and don’t give enough clearance between them and the discs. I’ve heard that running smaller discs is a fix.
Ran it today and had a new issue I’ve never seen before where it stated to bounce. Running 10 mph at approx. 4” deep. Been reading that I need to lower the front gang of disc just a bit.
These units need a lot of fine adjustments to run proper but when they are set right I really like the job they do. Can cover a lot of acres quick at 10 mph.
