I guess I disagree on the inflation part. I sold plenty of $2 corn in the 90's. We heard "new plateau" all the time until it wasn't. It's just nature of the commodity market
On the other hand, the callous, insensitive trade also wants, and by it's own actions, gets volatility. We benefit from that. The Brazil situation is just a news story and forecasting longer than a week is not very accurate. We don't know how it will pan out, but we can certainly take advantage of prices moving higher. I'd love to see closer to $5 delivered but that's 60 cents away, but we did get 13 cents.... for now. | |
