North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana | When these machines were the big ones it took twice as many. Instead of 6 it took 12. When the first CR970 came out it eliminated machines. Then the CR9080 did again. And then the CR10.90 came out and it eliminated more yet. Now the CR11 looks to thin the herd as well. South America has massive acres all in one spot. Don't know about Europe but definitely South America. 40 years ago if all the acres were cleared what are now down there it may have taken 20 combines to do what 5 can do today. 50' and apparently now 61' headers make use of the huge appetite these class 10+ machines have. And I know there is still a bigger CR in hiding. |
