Just as many if not more deaths or accidents occurring with urea and 28% due to more of it being needed to be used.

Insurance people tell me and many other coop directors at a group meeting there is no higher insurance cost with nh3 per unit vs urea vs 28%.

The coop to my west and north pulled that as an excuse years ago, about the same time they got caught selling generic glyphosate as powermax.

There is a reason coops get a bad name. Too bad as there are some really good ones left.

For the record, I’m fine if they want to get out of anhydrous ammonia, but don’t lie about it.

No Kidding? How did the 28 or urea kill those people? Were they drinking it, Smoking it? I burned my lungs once with NH3 but the worst thing with 28 was that I got a little in a cut on my finger.

Because they were handling over twice the product, which means on the road twice the time, transferring twice the time, etc.

It’s the same as you’re five times more likely to die on the road to the airport than you are flying in the plane.

Fwiw: one of my best friends died this harvest due to a young lady blowing a stop sign. To my knowledge he never applied nh3 in his life of 62 years
