Central, IA | We have AVD2's in our brooder. Same heater but dual stage for a high/low. We struggle in ours rusting the fan blade and motor out to where they quit moving enough air to run. Probably change 10+ a year. We originally put them in a little more than 10 years ago. Pulled out the originals and replaced them a few years ago. I think it is humidity from the building meeting the cold air coming in through the attic. Just chalked it up to cold winters in the midwest. I'm tempted to pull air direct in the building, but then you have dust to deal with which may not be any better. We've swapped some boards, but not many.
Whole house brooding is much easier on the help, just hate the heater maintenance. | |
