Geringhoff makes a good stout header but I'd go for a Patriot. The Northstar header have a bad design in the deck plate/stalk roll area. No issues in standing corn but down or even lodged and it's a row plugging son of a gun.
We have not had hardly any down corn since we bought this Geringhoff, but I did have a couple small patches of pretty flat corn in one variety this fall and I was surprised how well the head went through it. |
