Pittsburg, Kansas | Cool! In the poult house we went from drinker cups to nipples. Can't say one was better than the other. Used hand filled waterers till the poults learned to drink.
We were all Toms. I heard some growers grew hens but we never did. Ours were always caners with the exception of each year a few growers would be selected to grow bag turkeys (for holiday sales). We did it a couple times. Only difference is we would set 13,000 poults instead of 11,000 and they would take them early according to the size requirements needed for contracts.
Pretty satisfying when things go correctly. Pain in the butt when they don't!
