Sask | Because that is the dead line. If I don't report yield they will put it as 0 which then lowers my historical average yield. Therefore if I actually have a drought, or get significant hail, then my threshold at which I collect is lower as well as $$ per acre.
Crop insurance also asks such things as fertilizer applied and herbicides used, that's optional so I don't say however fertilizer data is good for improving models I would think. Don't see why crop insurance cares how I fertilize since the story is I insure simply for what I am comfortable with for loss of revenue and not what my maximum possible yield could be. But that is my choice anyway, crop insurance doesn't need to know that for any reason, yet the form is laid out for inclusion of such data. | |
