Mostly the straw pops back out of the furrow and the seed is laying on top of the straw.
If it rains enough the seed still grows. 



This is where the single opener John Deere has the advantage. Since we went to a 1990CCS the double crop beans have yielded so much more. This year they all made in the 60s!
