| So after reading all the talk here, I messaged my neighbor who has a chat with Brazilian farmers. I'll post a screenshot of their rainfall. I believe this is central Mato Groso. The farmer said they have not been getting general rains. They are seriously considering culling some cows due to pasture stress. The southeast edge of their community got a little more rain, so they got their beans in, but now they're trying to set pods in the heat and dry, haven't come close to shading the rows yet. He said it's easily the hottest and driest spring they've had since moving there.
On the screenshot, the 9mm rain for November is obviously just the first 10 days.
Another farmer said his agronomist told him he'd need to replant 100 percent of his beans. I think the high temps have been around 100-105 in October, upper 90s to 100 in November. Kinda sounds like those temps are unusual for this time of yr.
