Take a look at the Geringhoff Northstar with the XDC rolls. Does a great job processing the stalks without making a mat or small pieces that blow around.

Have two years on our 18r20” with zero downtime

This was in a really tall variety. We also have May Wes stalk stompers on every row.

The Geringhoff with the XDC rolls was a train wreck for us and some other Claas combine owners in Nebraska. I don’t know why some of you other guys have had great luck and we did not. We were forewarned that the slip clutches were slipping with these heads. Sure enough in some lodged irrigated corn we had all kinds of trouble. Geringhoff was trying to come up with a fix. When it worked I loved what it did. Our Claas dealer took ours back and brought a new Claas cornhead out.
I don’t quite understand why this was an issue for us this year.
