| I really dislike when Christmas lands on a Saturday. Because for holidays that land on a Saturday the Federal Reserve does not take a vacation day and is open Friday and Monday. It it demoralizing to my staff when they do not get a day off for that holiday, especially the newer people who haven't been through it before. It is really hard for a bank to not be open on days the Fed is running because of electronic payment and payrolls. Obviously I let as many as I can take vacation on either side of the Christmas holiday, but we still need to be open and process and it is our busiest time of year. Vets day is treated the same by the Fed, but it isn't the family gathering holiday that Christmas is. Juneteenth will be treated the same by the Fed.
