Subject: Magnum 380, Challenger 1038 opinions?

Dayton, IA
Updating a Challenger D series wheel tractor. Ziegler is close and I have stuck with them quite a bit because of the service. Have a Case IH combine and Magnum 250 and Red Power service has been great here also so I am not afraid of either. Ziegler tells me (mechanic, salemen) that the 1000 series has been trouble free. I have gotten comfortable with the Pro700 enough I have stopped converting things to Ag Leader so not sure if the Challenger screen and gps would just be another system to learn and be a hassle. I don't think the Challenger can be converted to Ag Leader that I would be more familiar with and more user friendly. Challenger looks like a Cadillac tractor, is CaseIH CVT something to stay away from? My 250 is a powershift, replaced an older Challenger with CVT and I don't mind the powershift as bad as I thought I would after quite a few years of the CVT. Don't need 380 hp, would be looking for Magnum 310, 340, 380 and whatever Challenger size Ziegler comes up with but a 1038 and 380 should be similar tractors to compare. Opinions?
