Just to add to the discussion...CIH TM255 field cultivators come in an 11' and 13.5' main frame configuration. CIH also has an optional wing wheel fold that folds the wing wheels in during transport. It is powered by solenoids and gets power from the light plug. measured an old TM200 60' and the mainframe was roughly 16'. Deere 2230 comes in 11' and 15' mainframe.

If you have a 4wd tractor with fat 800 duals, I think the wider mainframe does a better job of knocking out the wheel tracks.
