That will work fine. The clutch detection routine of the CCM requires it to be connected continuously to "something". A relay qualifies as that "something".
The CCM is capable of providing enough power for two of those clutches, however, by way of the relay you are using for polarity changing purposes, you will also be offloading that electrical load from the CCM to the relay.
