Golden Eagles are really the badass apex raptor. There's a valley south of here where there's a roadkill deer about every 1/2-mile in the winter. All the ravens, crows, magpies, etc. will fly when they see a car coming, the Goldens will sit right on top of the carcass & stare you down as you pass by...
