With the price of everything now days beef is definitely a luxury meet. Not everyone will be able to afford it, while some people won’t be phased by the price at all.
We just need enough people to feel rich enough to buy it.
At the grocery store chicken and pork is cheap, bargain shoppers will chose them.
Demand destruction will bring the price down, it will not be due to an over abundance of supply.
Half full and everything is hedged for a decent profit as long as I can keep the death loss low. Every hoof on the place will be hedged in the current market conditions. Betting on the come is a bad idea.
I still don’t think there is great money in owning cows. How many sold there feeders a month ago?
