Pulled into the parking lot of a Texas Roadhouse steakhouse in Lincoln Nebraska last night around 7:30. I couldn't find a parking spot until someone left at first I was thinking that they shared some parking space with another close by business but that ended up not being the case. When I went in they had a twenty minute wait unless you were alone then if you wanted to you could seat yourself at the bar. I asked the gal who took my order why they were so busy on a Thursday? She said it is this way every night and worse on weekends. According to by broker most of what has happened in the beef complex is related to the fears of the economy slowing. No sign of that in Lincoln Nebraska last night.

I suppose it is probably the same thing the average town guy says when he hears farmers whining and complaining about being broke and making no money, then see him driving down the road in a new $100k pickup following the new equipment he upgrades to new every year or two to farm the quarter he just paid $20k/acre for so he could reign superior in his 5 mile sphere of influence.
