| I use a wooden handle , tap it on a file and go at it. I got a $100 grinder ,that I use for the rakers. Tried other file contraptions and didn't do as nice as job as by hand and been sharping saws for close to 50 years and burn a lot of wood.
Put the saw, in a vise and sharpen the chain. Have to be careful not to file the rakers down too much, as the chain will stop in hard wood . I heard that the ones that cut all softwood would grind the rakers right down, but I think that's just talk. | |
