Subject: Field Cultivators

SE SD
Talked with my John Deere salesman today and he said that 33'-56' 2230 field cultivators all come with 11' mainframe. The 60' is optional 11' or 15' mainframe. He said that they've never sold an 11' mainframe 60' field cultivator. I currently have a TM255 that has the narrow transport and 11' mainframe. I see they offer an optional 13.5' mainframe. What is the advantage or disadvantage in the field with the 11' mainframe vs. 13.5' or 15' mainframe? I know down the road narrower is better, but the tractor 9570R is like 15' wide anyway. Do the 11' mainframes not dig as good or what? Also learned that in a John Deere 2230 you cannot order a dumb one, they all have TruSet computer crap.
