| SA will be the originator of choice as long as they are the lowest priced. If the US doesn’t have beans sold and shipped by mid-late February, we aren’t going to make up the difference during the rest of the market year.
SA production comes on line, and even if they have a short crop, it doesn’t have to make it last for a whole year, just until our next crop is available again (Octoberish). The production potential in South America isn’t understood by enough US producers. We are becoming the residual export supplier… both volume and price based. | |
