Corn yields 25 miles north of me were 60-80 bushels higher than mine, beans about 15 bushels better.
South of me 8-10 miles corn was 50-60 bushels better, beans 10 or so.
I was 23% under APH on corn, 20% under on beans.

Not sure I really understand your question. My point was that not everywhere in Illinois had outstanding yields. Not sure why some of you folks can’t wrap your head around that.
I know, I don’t live in Kansas, Nebraska, or the Dakotas, I live in an “I” state, and therefore have no idea what dry weather is.
Got an inch of rain last week. One day later the dust was flying. My lake is about a foot lower than it was in 2012. Been out of grass for cows since the end of August. Neighbor is putting in tile. A little moisture in the top 4”, but none under that to 4’. But it isn’t dry here, because it’s in an “I” state.
