Western Ky. | We have a rented farm with a 69 kv line across it. Near the edge of a field there is a bluff where the line dips into a creel bottom. There is less than 10 feet between the line and the top of our combine hopper extension. I absolutely hate harvesting that area of the field. As a former electrician in an aluminum plant I have witnessed what high voltage can do when it goes to ground. I have contacted the electric company and they tell me that is enough clearance, but they are not in the combine under that line.
