SE Indiana | That is the way we do it. But we are more interested in the quality than the quantity. What comes through the combine will only be shucks, cob, and what ever stalk doesn’t get pulled through the rolls. This makes some good feed for breeding cows. We do mow and rake if we are looking for bedding it seems raking in our experience brings in a lot of dirt with the stalks. But that may be just our problem. | |
