NCFL | I was shopping for rotella oil a year or so ago. Between the farm and buying point we go through 150-200 gallons a year. A Walmart ad popped up for something like $13.99/gallon in three gallon cases. Silly me, I assumed it was three 1gal jugs like I get from NAPA. I ordered 20, they would be delivered on following Monday or Tuesday. I get a text on Saturday afternoon saying my oil had been delivered. Since the shelling plant is closed on Saturday that time of year, I decided I better run down there and move it inside or load it in my truck before somebody decided to "borrow" it. Boy was I surprised when I grabbed that first box. I went back and looked at the ad where I ordered the oil, and sure enough, it said three gallons, not three one gallon jugs. Looked down at the reviews, and everybody was complaining about misunderstanding what they were ordering. My brother will not let me live that one down. It worked okay, most of the tractors take six gallons and our pickups take three, but it's not like you want to leave a box sitting next to an irrigation power unit or riding around in the back of the truck. | |
