I'm getting old and my memory is a little hazy, but my impression of the magnum at that time was the front of a CASE attached to the IH transmission with the rear axels, hubs and wheels from CASE. The cab was IH with the door hinged right. The engine was a joint venture between CASE and CUMMINS which would have been used in the next CASE models.

If you read the screenshot I posted up above the president of engineering in charge of the Magnum said all they used from Case was the engine and the exhaust system.
