GM already builds the perfect HD work truck. Not the High Country nonsense but a regular cab 3/4 ton gas either WT or LT package. Bulletproof drivetrain and heavy suspension and frame. Put 400k between a 2008 and the current 2016 with no more than tires (100k each on three sets of Toyo Open Country), brakes, and 6L90 tranny filter/fluid changes every 75k. Never a trip to a dealership in 15 years.
I also have a 2016 regular cab LT. Added DMI cushion hitch.
I wouldn't mind having the Z71 option or the new 6.6 gas, but nothing really stands out as a "must have" for a future purchase. |
