I'm with you. I really think, with the exception of 2012 and some occasional regional issues, it gets forgotten that a lot of the eastern belt doesn't need "normal" rain to grow a very good crop. It usually rains in the summer there. And it usually rains more, sometimes significantly more, than the crop needs.
