WCMO-SWMO Area | I'm a couple of hours south of you..In both 2022 and 2023 the corn on my farm was appraised at under 10 bpa and was cut for silage...Normal yield is in the mid 140's...In 2023 the corn in my immediate area made from 0-70 bpa..The rains were so spotty that just a few miles in any direction made lots of difference in the yields..A friend 20 miles away caught a nice local shower and had some corn make 85-105.
In 2022 the beans were 50% of APH and in 2023 they were mostly 25-35% of APH..In 2023 wheat was the shining star with yields in the 75-105 bpa which is way over APH..Beans following the wheat are in the 5-15 bpa range..With no further rain this would be the 3rd driest year since records were kept back in the 1890's..3 more inches of rain in 2023 would move us in to the 4th driest year. | |
