I’m on the search for a tractor to run my 64 row air seeder. I’ve looked at case 9x70 tractors, blue versatile 9682s, and deere 8960 and 8970s. I basically am aiming for something with a Cummins. I found a decent looking 8970 with decent tires and 8k hours. I’m told the 70 series has some nice upgrades over the 60 series.

8970 had a goofy fuel pump that was half Deere and half Cummins. I have been told they are obsolete and no one can work on them. Most have been converted to the basic old PT pump by now. Just something to look at.

What about the 60 series version? Where they a better pump?
