Southern, MN | In theory because of disk angle a high speed should cause less compaction. The blade angles on a high speed are not drug across the whole linear profile at depth like a tandem disk would. Both tools soil type (the coarser) and condition (less wet) have better outcomes. Now in the fall if you live in the freeze thaw belt then fall disking seems like compaction is much less of an issue in heavier soils and in less then ideal conditions. A tandem will make things blacker in corn stalks then a high speed. | |
