Subject: RE: Question ???

Central Iowa
My Grandpa told me a story when I was young about an 80 acres that was turned into a county park, owners had made a small lake on it and got worried about liability and sold it to the county cheap. Grandpa said when he was young the owner then had plowed the entire 80 with a horse and walking plow worked it all down with horses, planted it and then didn't get a crop off of any of it. I always thought how demoralizing that would have been. It's bad enough now when you just sit in a tractor and get a short crop let alone doing all of that hard physical labor and getting nothing.
