Local small town newspaper publishes a "scandal sheet" that shows a mortgage for a mega-coop located in Iowa to CoBank for $1,509,895,890.42

And yes that is the correct numbers, unless the newspaper or someone else screwed the numbers up. If this is correct, it sure makes me think twice about deferring payments on grain sales. And maybe a warehouse receipt on stored grain would be a good idea too.

Sure sounds like a mountain of debt, especially with interest rates rising.
