Subject: RE: Cold storage vs shop.

I hear what you’re saying entirely. My dad and uncles have a 30X40 shop that lots of work has been done in. Building circle tubs and header trailers to frame in overhauls of engines. Getting bigger now and my sprayer is to tall to even get in the doors. Fold a boom out drop it down and stick it inside the door to weld on it. Or the combine won’t fit inside. Just the last year we have had a $50,000 dozer bill and more than that on a combine. Just say I could have saved half the labor on both that would have been $25,000. Couple that with however many couple thousand dollar jobs that you do throughout the year. Couple that with the ability to park semi’s inside to facilitate hauling grain a little more easily in the winter. Having the ability to have a loader or skid loader inside and knowing it will start when needed. I can pencil $250,000 in 10 years even at 9% interest. My question is if those tougher times come soon, will that money be better spent on machinery or land if it comes down?
