St. Claude, Mb, Canada | They are a very solid drill. If you grease the opener bearings regularly and keep your speed to 5-5.5 mph the closing wheel bearings aren't a huge problem. There is a lot of finicky maintenance on them preseason that keeps breakdowns from happening in season. Gauge wheel gap to the opening disk needs to be at the book spec or you wear components faster and can plug up in wet conditions. If you are going to 15" spacing and deal with soft ground I'd keep the front rank rather than the back. The way the rockshafts work the back rank will put extra weight on the front tires which can cause them to want to turn into v plows. The 787 tank is very solid. Good metering, never seems to breakdown, never plugs up. The air monitor is a bit of an art to understand if you have a secondary plugged but once you have the hang of it it works pretty well even without blockage monitors.
