Well, you asked how we weren't done combining down here. So it appeared that you weren't aware of how much time all of that livestock takes to care for.
Few places are as livestock dense as the extreme NW corner of IA.
There's a big difference between caring for 20-50 head of stock cows vs a feedlot with 1000's of head or taking care of 10's of 1000's of hogs.
The former is a crop farm with a few cows, the latter is a livestock farm that grows its own feed.
