| branstad didnt ruin hog farming, as they say money abhors a vacuum. technology made it so that a hog farmer didnt have to sit up all night waiting for a sow to pig and one man can now chore 15,000 hog spaces. as far as iowas $30 property tax, anymore and the county supervises would flat out waste the excessive tax, the roads and bridges must be paved with gold in high tax states like nebraska. the valuation of farmland doesnt mean squat if youre like `john dutton` and arent fixin to sell, just want to be left alone to farm and ranch and feed the world. too many taxes forces too many stupid practices be done to afford the burden. land other than during the good times in the 1980s has never cashflowed :-) | |
